You love strong espresso … and chocolate? There we go! Why not combining these two all-time favorites to create a yummy treat, full of pleasure and adrenaline?

Our DEAD OR ALIVE ESPRESSO BROWNIES recipe is easy to make and totally mess free. The result is spongy and fudgy, loaded with the delicious flavor of chocolate AND coffee. You can use leftover espresso – saying, if there is ever any leftover espresso in your house. And in less than one hour this beauty is leaving the oven.

 For the recipe we have chosen our DEAD OR ALIVE ORIGINAL, the king amongst our product range. Its full-bodied flavor with the nutty-chocolaty aroma is a great addition to any sweet treat. The perfect mix of 70% robusta and 30% arabica as well as the high-quality beans from India, Dominican Republic and the Republic of Cameroon give this Brownie a nice coffee flavor. And with the high amount of caffeine, for sure an additional kick to start your day or night.

200 grams butter
150 grams unsweetened cacao (powder, nibs, bar..)
240 grams brown sugar
100 grams flour
4 eggs

Optional: coconut / peanuts / hazelnuts



Melt the butter and the cacao in a small bowl over a pan of simmering hot water. Afterwards put it aside to let it cool down.

In another bowl combine eggs, sugar, espresso and flour and stir well. Combine it with the cacao-butter mix and stir well. Additionally, add any kind of nuts.

Pour the batter into silicon muffin molds OR a greased baking pan and bake it at 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Don’t overdo it – the texture should still be soft when taking out of the oven.
